  • Mental Health
  • Substance Use & Prevention
  • Attendance & Truancy Support
  • Assessment & Referral
  • Community Partnerships & Referrals

Why Wellness?

Wellness Centers on high school campuses are a powerful investment in the health and academic potential of students. They provide increased early interventions for students experiencing emotional problems that may be impacting their ability to access their learning. Wellness programs have a proven ability to reconnect students back to learning when health and social-emotional barriers are present.

Staffing

The Staff in the Wellness Center is made up of many wonderful individuals who look forward to supporting the students, families, and staff.  Wellness Staff is made up of RJUHSD employees as well as Interns from various accredited Universities across California.  Wellness staff offer a variety of services, which they deliver based on their training level.  These services include: individual therapy, group counseling, case management, Attendance Success Plans, community resource facilitation, crisis intervention and mentoring.  We collaborate extensively with the Administration, Counselors and Teachers to ensure, within boundaries of confidentiality, that we care in communication about students and families we serve.

Mental Health Specialist

Hello! I work for Roseville Joint Union High School District as a Mental Health Specialist supporting the Antelope High School students, staff & community.  In 2020 I graduated from California State University, Sacramento (STINGERS UP!) with my Master degree in Social Work, with a concentration on Children and Families, and my Pupil Personnel Service Credential. I started as a wellness intern a couple of years ago and never left!  Recently I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I chose to become a School Social Worker because I am passionate about working with students and their family systems. Family and Community Engagement Liason

James Hopkins

Hello! I'm the Family and Community Engagement Liaison at Antelope High School, excited to begin my first year in this role. Previously, I served as a Student Intervention Specialist at Del Oro High School, where I supported students through mentorship and positive behavior development. I've also worked in various youth-focused roles, including in Juvenile Justice Diversion and Family support programs, providing case management and advocating for access to mental health care, housing, and education etc. I hold several associate degrees from Sierra College and am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Social Science with a minor in Multicultural Studies at Chico State. As a former foster youth, I'm passionate about restorative justice and supporting students' academic and personal growth. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons, trying new foods, traveling, and attending live theater. Feel free to visit me at the AnHS Wellness Center - I'm here to help! GO TITANS!
