Work Permit

Submit all completed work permits to Ms. Miller.

  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • GPA of 2.0 or higher
    • No more than one F on your report card
    • Satisfactory attendance

Incomplete applications will delay processing time.

Work Permits

You do not need a work permit to apply for a job. 

Work Permits Are Only Required After Official Hiring

  • To be considered complete, the following sections must be filled out (Incomplete applications will delay processing time.):
    • Student information, including your Social Security Number (SSN)
    • Employer information and signature
    • Parent signature
  • Important Notes:
    • Electronic signatures, digital copies, or photocopied applications will not be accepted.
  • Processing Times:
    • Applications dropped off before first lunch are usually ready by the end of the same day.
    • Applications dropped off after first lunch will be processed no earlier than the following day.

Please note the following:

  • Work permits are required for high school students under 18. They are unnecessary after turning 18 or upon high school graduation, even if under 18 at graduation.
  • Permitted work hours are determined by the State of California. Details are on the back (or page 2) of the work permit application.

Students not meeting these criteria require administrative and counselor approval before Ms. Miller can issue a work permit.
