All Seniors and Junior Early Grads are enrolled in the RJUHSD Local Scholarship Canvas Course.
The Local Scholarship Program accepts application from January 10, 2025-February 14, 2025.
Our generous donors are offering a wide variety of scholarship for all types of students.

Military
Interested in Joining the Military?
If you’re considering a future in the military, it's important to know the requirements and steps involved. Each branch — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force — has its own set of qualifications and opportunities. From physical fitness standards to educational requirements, understanding what is expected will help you prepare effectively.

What is the ASVAB?
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-choice test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the U.S. military. It measures your strengths in areas like math, science, reading, and technical skills. Your ASVAB scores help identify which military jobs (MOS) you are best suited for. Even if you don’t plan to join the military, the ASVAB can offer valuable career insights.

Work Permits
Submit all completed work permits to Ms. Miller.

Eligibility Requirements:
- GPA of 2.0 or higher
- No more than one F on your report card
- Satisfactory attendance
Incomplete applications will delay processing time.
Work Permit Instructions
You do not need a work permit to apply for a job.
Work Permits Are Only Required After Official Hiring

To be considered complete, the following sections must be filled out (Incomplete applications will delay processing time.):
- Student information, including your Social Security Number (SSN)
- Employer information and signature
- Parent signature

Important Notes:

Electronic signatures, digital copies, or photocopied applications will not be accepted.

Processing Times:
- Applications dropped off before first lunch are usually ready by the end of the same day.
- Applications dropped off after first lunch will be processed no earlier than the following day.
Please note the following:
- Work permits are required for high school students under 18. They are unnecessary after turning 18 or upon high school graduation, even if under 18 at graduation.
- Permitted work hours are determined by the State of California. Details are on the back (or page 2) of the work permit application.
Students not meeting these criteria require administrative and counselor approval before Ms. Miller can issue a work permit.
