Graduation & Senior Information
Graduation
Graduation Information & FAQs:
What is appropriate attire for graduates? Can I decorate my cap?
Graduation is a formal event, and attire should reflect the importance of the occasion. Acceptable attire: collared shirt/ dress shirt/ dress slacks/ dress/ skirt. High heels must be at least the size of a quarter in diameter. Unacceptable attire: Jeans or shorts, torn or ripped shirts or pants. Caps cannot be decorated at all. Graduates will not be allowed to be part of the ceremony if they have altered their cap. Graduates may wear any cords, medals, or pins earned as part of an Antelope High School program. Any attire that is culturally significant is also permitted. “Money” leis or “Candy” leis are not permitted during the ceremony. Graduates will NOT be able to bring their cell phones into the ceremony, so plan on leaving your phone with your family to get after the ceremony!
Can guests bring water/food/ice chests? Will there be a Snack Bar at graduation?
No food or ice chests will be allowed into the stadium. Personal water bottles are allowed in. There will be a cash only snack bar at graduation selling water and snacks as a fundraiser for the junior class.
How many tickets do families/guests get? If guests leave can they come back?
Each graduate will get 14 tickets (wristbands), 4 on the field, 10 in the bleachers. (These are given to seniors at senior check out) Gates will open at 5:30pm for guests, and the ceremony will begin at 7pm. You must have a ticket (wristband) on before entering the stadium. There are no in/out privileges. If you leave the stadium for any reason you cannot reenter. Please be sure you have water, jackets, medication, diapers, etc. when you enter.
Is there a "Will Call" for people who need to pick up tickets from the stadium?
Yes! New this year! The sophomore class will have a "Will Call" available for people who need to drop off/pick up tickets at the stadium. "Will Call" will be open in the stadium ticket booth from 5:15pm-7:15pm for drop off and pick up. Cost is $5 when dropping off the tickets.
What should parents/family/guests wear to graduation?
Weather in May can be unpredictable, but we can expect that it will be warm in the full sun. Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring sunscreen and a hat if needed. Anyone sitting on the field cannot wear “spiky” high heels, as they will damage the turf. High heels on the track and turf must be the diameter of a quarter sized coin.
How will the stadium be set up?

Where should we park?
Parking is very limited. If parking in neighborhoods, please be kind to our neighbors and do not block driveways or fire hydrants! The front and back parking lots will be open for parking. Exterior campus gates will be locked until after the graduation ceremony. If parking in the back lot, you will need to walk around to the front of school on Elverta/Titan.
Are there any items guests shouldn’t bring into the stadium?
No balloons, ez-ups, umbrellas, or large signs that can block the view for others will be permitted in the stadium. No ice chests, food, or drinks other than water. No noise makers- please be aware that horns or noise makers might make it difficult for other families to hear their student’s name being announced!
Where can graduates request final transcripts after graduation?
Senior Activities
Awards & Recognitions Night
Senior Awards & Recognition Night, will be held on Tuesday, the 19th of May at 6pm. This night is a prestigious event dedicated to honoring and celebrating the outstanding achievements of our graduating seniors. This special evening highlights their academic excellence, commitment to learning, and perseverance throughout their high school journey.
During the ceremony, we recognize students who have distinguished themselves in various academic and career pathways. Honorees include recipients of Academic Merit Awards, which celebrate exceptional scholastic performance, and Department Awards, given to students who have demonstrated excellence in specific subject areas. We also recognize students earning the District's Laureate of Scholarly Distinction, given to students who earned an overall weighted GPA of 4.2 or above, while also passing 6 or more AP/IB/DE classes and passing 2 out of 3 CAASPP/CAST tests.
The event also pays tribute to our Valedictorian and Salutatorian, acknowledging the top-performing students who have achieved the highest academic standings in their graduating class.
