Testing
SAT
The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions. It measures skills in reading, writing, language, and math and is designed to assess college readiness. The test last 2 hours, 14 minutes (digital format). The benefits of taking the SAT are:
- College Admissions: Many colleges use SAT scores as part of their application process
- Scholarships: Strong SAT scores can qualify you for merit-based scholarships
- Skill Benchmark: Helps identify strengths and areas for improvement
- Test-Optional Schools: Even if schools are test-optional, submitting good scores can strengthen your application.
Testing
Antelope offers the SAT exclusively for AnHS students on October 30, 2024 (Priority for current Seniors) and March 19, 2025. Test can be purchased in person (Student Services) or online (Webstore). $60 per exam or $10 for those who qualify for free/reduced lunch.

ACT
The ACT is a standardized test for college admissions that measures skills in English, Math, Reading, and Science, with an optional Writing section. It assesses high school achievement and college readiness. The test last 2 hours, 55 minutes (plus 40 minutes for Writing, if chosen). Benefits of Taking the ACT includes:
- College Admissions: Accepted by most U.S. colleges and universities
- Scholarships: High ACT scores can qualify you for merit-based scholarships
- Comprehensive Assessment: Includes a Science section, offering a broader skill evaluation
- Test-Optional Schools: Submitting good ACT scores can enhance your application, even for test-optional schools.
CAASPP
The slideshow below outlines testing dates and times for Antelope High School students in grades 9-11, covering Math, Science, and ELA from April 1st to 3rd.The slideshow below also explains the importance of CAASPP scores, including their role in waiving CSU and Community College placement tests, qualifying for the State Seal of Biliteracy, and contributing to the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma. The slideshow also highlights student incentives, such as raffles and school rewards, for participation and strong performance on the tests.
