Student Parking Permits

1. Painted Senior Parking Spot

• Cost: $50 (with ASB) or $55 (without ASB)

• Available to seniors only

• Reserved, individual parking spot

• Valid for one full school year

• Students who purchase their spots before 7/25 will get to custom paint their spot (on Friday, 8/1)

  • Murals cannot exceed the pre-marked 4' x 5' area, and must be school appropriate (see Student Handbook, esp. appropriate imagery for clothing)

2. Unmarked Parking Spots (Free)

• Available to any student (who has a parking permit)

• Unmarked spots are first come, first served

  • Unmarked (no paint, words, or pictures) parking stalls

• Note: Having a permit does not guarantee a parking spot. In other words, show up early before the lot gets full.

1. Before completing the application, find the following documents/information.

• Valid driver’s license

• Current proof of insurance (the vehicle must be listed)

2. Complete the application:

• Must use your RJUHSD student account (@students.rjuhsd.us)

3. After completing the application:

1. (Seniors spots) Visit the webstore (search: Parking) and pay for your spot

2. Visit the Student Services window to complete the application process

3. Permit sticker will be issued at the Student Services Window

Parking in the following areas is prohibited and may result in administrative action (detention, etc.) or loss of parking privileges:

• Staff parking areas

  • Front of the school near the admin building/PAC

  • Back of the school near the CTE building/Gym

• Red curbs, fire lanes, and islands

• Grass or sidewalks (including driving on them)

• Handicapped spaces (unless you have a registered permit)

• Traffic lanes (do not block the flow of traffic)

• Outside of designated parking spaces (spaces must be between two white lines and unmarked “No Parking”)

• In a painted/Senior spot that is not yours

Safety & Driving Expectations

• Students are subject to all traffic laws while on campus, including those related to reckless driving, speed, mechanical violations, registration, and parking.

• Law enforcement may patrol and issue citations.

• Pedestrians have the right-of-way.

• The campus speed limit is 5-10 mph.

• Vehicles may not be driven through campus.

• Unsafe or reckless driving — including exceeding the speed limit — may result in referral to an Assistant Principal, and/or loss of parking privileges.
