RJUHSD Attendance PolicyUnder California Education Code (Ed Code §48205), certain absences are considered excused, including but not limited to: illness, medical or dental appointments, attending a funeral for an immediate family member, court appearances, religious holidays or ceremonies, and certain approved justifiable personal reasons.
Absences, such as vacations, family trips, or leaving early for reasons not covered by the Education Code—are considered unexcused, even if a parent notifies the school. Unexcused absences can impact a student’s academic progress and attendance record.
The Attendance office is regulated and audited by the State of California ~ All absences (Including early dismissal & late arrivals) MUST go through the Attendance Office. RJUHSD Attendance Policy: *If you or your student believe there is an error in their attendance record, please have your student reach out to that specific teacher to confirm their attendance on the date in question. Upon confirmation, the teacher will give authorization to the Attendance Tech to modify your student's attendance record.
